Living with it
Care
Some of these were thrown by other potters. Some were already everyday mugs. Wash either like a mug you mean to keep. We didn't make them, so we can't throw a replacement.

Let it arrive, then rinse
Unpack over a table, not a hard floor. Rinse once before the first drink. The story card can live in a drawer or behind the mug on the shelf.
- 02
Dishwasher, with a preference
The stoneware can take a dishwasher. Hand washing keeps crackle and matte glazes happier for longer. Skip the heated dry if you are feeling fond.
- 03
No sudden heat
Don’t move a cold mug straight onto a blazing burner, or pour boiling water into one that sat in a freezing car. Clay likes a moment.
- 04
Microwave
Fine for most of the mound. The Last Ferry has an iron-rich rim — it can go in, but it prefers not to be the mug you forget for three minutes.
- 05
The bare foot
Kiln Rash and a few raw pieces have an unglazed foot. It can leave a faint mark if you drag it. A coaster is polite. A mark is also a story.

If something chips
Write us with a photo. If it failed in transit, we make it right. If life happened later, a small chip on handmade clay is allowed to stay.
